Congratulations to the Manpower of Dayton and Central Kentucky team as they mark 60 years of success as a Manpower franchise on February 13.  The franchise was founded in 1956 by Thomas and Jane Maher, who worked closely with Manpower founder Elmer Winter to establish one of the first franchises. Their territory was originally several Ohio counties around Dayton, but was later expanded to include the area around Lexington, KY.  Their sons Tom and Stan got an early start in the business, with Thomas Sr. coining the moniker “The Grand Group” for the franchise team – a name still used fondly within the franchise.  Tom and Stan have since led the franchise for many years, which has grown to an operation of 9 offices and more than $31M in sales in 2015.

The franchise takes pride in their exemplary client service, attention to candidate support, longevity of their staff, and involvement in the community.  Tom and Stan have also been very active in the Association of Manpower Franchise Owners, having served as chairmen and heads of various committees.

The franchise and guests will celebrate this milestone achievement at a gala event on Thursday, February 25.  Congratulations to The Grand Group, and thank you for all your outstanding contributions to ManpowerGroup!
